Deb, I just did a straight Churn...
Applied on phone and given email addy and password..
I did not need to call Internode at all..
2 weeks later, a Telstra Tech called to confirm everything and told me when I will be connected. He was spot on with the connection date, as the online status was wrong..

Are you getting a Modem sent out to you ?

If it's the wireless modem, they will charge you $99 ( + $9.96 delivery ) for it on your bill..

Telstra Bill extract said:
MOK159U. 1 Bigpond ADSL Wireless Modem (self install) 24 Mth @ 228 per unit ............$228.00
MOK159V. 1 Bigpond ADSL Special Offer Installation Discount @ 129.00cr per unit ........$129.00cr

I thought the Modem was free when I ordered the service.. When I got the bill, the Modem was in effect $99..
I then double checked the details on the web page and yes, it was 99 after rebate as I have shown on my last post..
Expect to wait a couple of weeks before the tech rings you deb...

I think they are speeding up their operation.
Telstra's share price decreased by another 6 cents yesterday.

Analysts

Code:
                     2010 2011 2012 2013
Earnings Per Share 31.3 27.4 27.6 27.8
Dividends Per Share 28.0 28.0 28.0 25.1
How to pay 28 cents from 27.4 cents in 2011 and 28 cents from 27.6 in 2012 ?

I saw three maintenance workers in our street and another two not far from us.
My guess is that they were doing something for ADSL2, to make some money in the next couple of years.

They were probably mounting the DSLAMs onto the power poles, to save space at the exchange. :poke

After getting my last 2 phone bills, I came to the conclusion that if I bundle all my Tel$tra stuff onto one of the new bundles, I would still be paying the same money each month !!! :eek2

BUT !!!!

My Foxtel becomes a full HD package, I can call any mobile in OZ for no extra charge, and, my download allowance jumps from 50 to 200 GB per month !! :satisfied

Who the hell is running Tel$tra and making it attractive as a real option for people like me ??? :poke

I'm not paying the same money from next month.
I just received a price increase from $30 to $31... plus the price of calls to mobiles are on the increase...
