What makes Google Chrome so fast


Tried Google Chrome. 4.0.249.89(38071) and it really seems quite fast.

I'm scared to touch Chrome,TeeEm,because of the bad experience on the beginning.
But never say never, if it becomes good I'll try it again.

Tried it, dumped it.....but probably didn't set it up properly....might try it again one day.

I do recommend installing the Click&Clean extension so that you don't get yards of history and download links as well as cleaning your cache out.

I'm a paranoid little vegemite and I wonder if Google collect everyone's browsing habits that are using chrome.

They are in business to collect data and this would just be an extension of their business model - of course some consider the privacy issue to be a storm in a teacup. Me, I just don't know.

ATM I am using Opera 10.50 beta and it works well for me - the lightening quick backward/forward movement in your browser has always been a marvelous thing in Opera. If Firefox had that then I would still use Firefox...

If you use google search - an initial version of chrome was sending stuff that you typed in the search bar to google - without you even pressing enter.

I dunno if that behaviour was changed...

I've had no problem with the backward/forward speed of Firefox. 3.6.

Firefox resubmits the page when going back/forward on some sites. Opera doesn't - it just displays it from memory cache.

If you use Opera, then you should get a discount for saving them from having to store all those "naughty pictures" in their proxy box that people keep going back and forth quickly to look at when someone comes into the room !
