Windows:
Right click on a directory.
Click on Properties:
Size: X MB
Size on disk: Y MB
Contains: Z folders, Z2 files

It is showing the total MBs in that directory including the sub directories.

With FileZilla I have to go down and open the sub directories in my web space to know that how large is it.
Is there any ftp client which could show that how many bytes are in the whole directory? :eek

If it's any use, the FTP server usually spits out a welcome message showing how much is used and how much is free. If you use the FTP command line with the FTP URL it will display it, after you enter your username and password.

Example:

ftp members.isp.com.au

Example:

ftp members.isp.com.au
Two main folders:
misi
foxi

Clicking on misi:

images
wildlife
fishes
shark.jpg
dolphin.jpg

3 folders and 2 files with 27533 bytes ???

I do know that images has 27 533 000 bytes in it but I have to click on it.
I have to click on wildlife and it gives me 12 467 000 bytes.
Add them and it gives 40 000 000 bytes
Finally clicking on fishes gives 20 000 000 bytes.

27533
27533000
12467000
20000000
=60 027 533 bytes in misi

I would like to know that how many bytes are in foxi?
Start clicking and adding?
