UP TO 3000 Google Chrome users saw their browser of choice deleted from their PC due to a bug in Microsoft's security software.

And before you go thinking a new front had opened up in the wars between the major technology players - a faulty virus definition update caused Chrome to be detected as a trojan virus by Microsoft Security Software, ZDnet reported last week.
