What software do you all use to remind you of events, such medical appointments and bills and all those things that Brain MK I can't remember as time goes past?

I haven't used the iFoney one - does the iFone reminder keep reminding you until you actually do something about it?

I don't keep the phone with me, and as you say it's hard to enter reminders.
Using the computer, in Windows, is more convenient for me and I can back up the reminders easily and search them down the track to remind me when something happened.

Multi-Reminders

Kevin Solway wrote some nice games back in the Dos days, if it was the same fellow.

Thanks - This one seems to only check on startup - is that the case TeeEm?
Something I need is for it to list all upcoming reminders at various
times of the day, so I can close the window and then be reminded again later on.

What happened to the old fashioned piece of string around your finger? :happy
(Perhaps string is hard to get these days)

Yup, it's only a very simple day reminder. At this stage I can remember my name in the morning and don't have to be told throughout the day. :lmao:

( what really pisses me off is every time I ring some service or Government department. I get this "what is your date of birth ?" I hate being continually reminded of my birth date ! Grr. ) :furious

Change your name by deed poll and then they will be so confused that they will forget about your DOB. But then you may need to be reminded about your new name several times a day.

I used the above for a long while, and it's really very nice, free and simple, yet with very capable features

My beef with it at the time was that it shows each alert in a nice box - and I needed to snooze them one after the other. I can have several alerts happening within a time window, and every day which became tiresome to snooze them.

My current program is Reminderfox that is an addon for Firefox or Thunderbird.
It has been good - but my installation of Windows or my graphic setup, means that the ontop-window which shows the list of alerts that slides up into view, can appear below the current window - so I don't see it. Nobody else complains of that so it seems to be my machine.

I will continue to look for a replacement - or I'll buy a ball of string! :wink2:

Thanks for your suggestion - I still have recurring events in Google calender from years ago when I used it to print personal care lists for the lady.

I'm hesitant to use an internet based reminder but I was curious about the app (and the google calender app video is made for children!).

But it doesn't look to have the functionality I need - which is essentially to be reminded at home, recurring reminders using all sorts of time cycles (every second thursday, every day at 9pm, once off, every 6 weeks, 1st of every month etc etc), and regular reminding during the day - plus the ability to back it up with a script and search old events when needed (I do this in the backup files atm).

Fussy bugger I am!
