To extend the available space in my PC with an SSD (2)

I have been encouraged on this forum and by my friends to use an SSD for a very long time.
The first step has been done: I have the little toy in my possession now.

Second step: Have to decide what to do with it.

Currently I use Windows 8.1, I like it.
Previously upgraded to W10: It has some good features but I still prefer W 8.1

...but would be good to have W10 as well, maybe I can get used to it.

Thinking of having both of them.
Is it a good idea?

The new SSD has 500GB of space.
Should I make two 200GB partitions on it and:
Import W8.1 to one of them
Install W10 on the second partition.

or
Keep the current drive as it is with W8.1 on it
Install W10 to the SSD

What do you think?

Not sure what advice to give you misi.
All I can say is how my system is set up which seems to keep it fast.
I only have Windows 10, Nortons 360 and Malwarebytes Pro ( lifetime license ) on my SSD.
Everything else is on the HDD.
Advice I was given is to never use more than 66% of your SSD and never use a standard defrag proggy on it.

That was good.

I have another month to start with the installation.
Currently I don't have much time for the fiddling with it.
The buggers didn't even include the 4 screws with it.
Cables? No cables...
I'll see what is available in my PC's case.

The space is available.
One cable is available.
Have to order the second one.

Have to order a mounting tray....Maybe not.
With only two screws I could put it in.
Later maybe I'll use Foxi's advice, using duct tape.

Installation completed, the 2 screws are sufficient to hold it.
Initialized.
Formatted with AOMEI.
